Meaning
Lannomi is derived from the name of its collector, Joseph R. Lannom jr.

Distribution
So far only one (dead) specimen has been found, in 1966. This was by a road, southwest of Autlan de Navarro in Jalisco, Mexico.
Habitat
The region where this specimen was found is a crossover zone between pine-oak and tropical deciduous forest with grasses, small bamboo and rocky outcrops.
Description
The specimen that was found was a 63.8cm female, probably an adult. With a wide head, stout body, a long slender tail (of 6.9cm) and a relative small rattle.
The ground colour is grey with dark brown blotches along its back.
Diet
Although not documented their diet would probably consist out of lizards, insects and small mammals.
Venom
The venom type and characteristics are unknown.
